Handyman Job Position
Mike Dohoney’s Barrier Island Construction is actively seeking to add an experienced Residential Construction Handyman to our team on Johns Island. Our ideal candidate will have excellent skills in carpentry, painting, drywall, minor electrical and plumbing. Our Handyman should have 5 or more years of experience performing remodeling and home repair tasks. We are looking to hire someone with a strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor, with a wide command of all trades. Our 40 years of experience have made us a trusted source for a wide-range of requests from full-time and part-time residents on Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.

Benefits, Pay Scale and Schedule
This is a full-time hourly position. The pay is $13-20 per hour based on experience with a performance review after your first 90 days. The work schedule is year-round Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years of experience at minimum

Ability to perform carpentry, painting, drywall, minor electrical, plumbing, and lifting of furniture as needed.

Own standard set of tools to perform the above-mentioned trades

Valid driver's license

Vehicle with valid registration to use throughout day for going to multiple projects
